Why we chose the mantra of “Onwards.”
Objectives in Syria:
Positively impact the development of the generation of Syrians who have survived and lived through the war by running collaboration projects with nonprofits and NGOs that serve to reduce the burden of life on Syrian youth and the Syrian population in general
Become a positive impact on the holistic education of Syrian youth living in Syria.
Work to spread, define, and safeguard Syrian culture and heritage in Syria and abroad.
Work towards the improvement of the average Syrian’s life: Present our Syrian peers in Syria with ways of improving their situation despite the war, the economic sanctions, and the constant threats to their futures that they live under.
Objectives in the U.S.:
Work towards and advocate for a healthier, more sustainable, and more positive relationship between our two home countries, the U.S., and Syria.
Serve as a growth opportunity for all those who are involved in the work of the project by connecting them both virtually and in person to the high-achieving members of the Syrian American diaspora in the U.S.
Creating an opportunity for people to explore their Syrian heritage, this initiative invites those who've lived in the U.S. to connect deeply with Syrian culture and traditions. It's a chance to understand and embrace the rich history and vibrant life of Syria on a personal level.
Membership:
Project Onwards consists of Syrian Americans and supporters who collaborate with interested Syrian parties in other countries, while also working with members on the ground in Syria.
